Toddler Who Dressed as Queen Elizabeth for Halloween Received a Personal Letter

Many children don’t really go all the way out for their first Halloween, and often opt for dinosaurs, fairies, or some Avengers superhero.

However, there’s been one exception, and her name is Jalayne Sutherland. It was her first Halloween and she decided to go a different route by dressing up as Queen Elizabeth II. And, much to her parents’ surprise, she got a royal response from the Queen herself!

Instead of choosing characters from ‘Paw Petrol’, Jalayne dressed up as Queen Elizabeth II

As can be seen on the photos, her outfit was pretty much detailed. She wore a sky blue peacoat with a matching hat, and even the white gloves! It was, of course, combined with a white wig and the famous set of pearls.

Jalayne even posed with two Corgis – which are the Queen’s most beloved animals

And, of course, this being Jalayne’s first Halloween, and the fact that she looked absolutely adorable dressed as the Queen, her parents took a few photos of her, and decided to send them to the Queen at the Buckingham Palace.

Surprise! The Queen wrote back to the family

Actually, it wasn’t the Queen herself, but it was the Queen’s Lady-in-Waiting (the Hon, Mary Morrison) who had written back. The Lady-in-Waiting is a noblewoman, whose duties resemble to those of an assistant.

But, the real question is: What will Jalayne dress up as next year?

Perhaps she’ll continue with the royal theme and dress up as a little Kate Middleton, or perhaps even Lady Diana? Whatever she may choose, we can’t wait to see her costume!
