A Classic Ferrari Sports Car
Ferraris are popular cars, always have been. In the 1970s, it was therefore common for Ferrari’s to be stolen. This was also the case in Los Angeles. Unfortunately for the owner, the car was never found… A few years later, two boys were playing in their garden and dug in the ground with a shovel. And as you would probably expect, they stumbled upon the missing Ferrari. Unfortunately for the boys, they were a little too young to drive it for a while, but it certainly is a bizarre find.
A Bomb Shelter?
It almost looks like an episode of CSI, but it’s not. In Salt Lake City, Utah, a boy was digging in his yard when he stumbled upon some slightly larger pieces. He couldn’t figure out exactly what it was, but he was sure it wasn’t supposed to be there. So he decided to bring in experts so that together they could discover exactly what the boy had found in the ground. The professionals took the pieces to a lab and after several weeks they concluded that they were human bones belonging to a Native American and dated back around 1,000 years!
England’s John Lambert wanted to install a new fence in his garden a few years ago because the old one was in need of replacement. The man then came across a large bone, which he kept in his garage. 15 years later John cleaned out his garage and to his surprise came across the bone. He had never given it a second thought. After calling in an expert it turned out that bone belonged to a massive sea serpent who lived anywhere from 60 to 250 million years ago. Wow…
A Spooky Amount of Money

A Golden Nugget
A childhood dream of many people is to go out for a good time with a metal detector, a proper shovel and a dose of excitement. This is what a man from California thought as well. The man had barely started his search in his backyard, when he already heard the recognizable sound of the metal detector going off. After just a few shovels, the man saw why the device went off. An enormous gold nugget weighing over 8.6 pounds was not buried so deep underground at all. After appraisal, the huge nugget turned out to have a value of $460,000…. Now we all want to take a look in our own garden.

The lovely man decided to surprise his wife and children and wanted to build his own swimming pool in the garden. This surprise, however, turned out to be a little different than he had initially expected. Marcello came across an old grave. Not one, not two but 13 caskets…. Florida is known for its large number of alligators. And no, they don’t only live in the wild, but can also appear closer to home. For one Florida couple, they did come really close. After alerting authorities, the scaly animal was taken to a farm in Arcadia.
Ice Skates In a Tree
No, not tied on a branch, actually growing in the tree! A pair of old skates will have been discarded many years ago. However, the skates have ended up in a place where they have become one with the tree. The tree did not reject the ‘unnatural’ pair of skates but embraced them. The result? A very special tree, of which there are no two… In any case it is very special. Have you ever seen such a special tree?
A Wedding Ring
Losing your wedding ring is, of course, terrible. It happened to Sweden’s Lena Paahlsson in 1995. Horrible. After hours of searching, she gave up. However, little did she know that over 15 years later she would find her ring again. While gardening, Lena came across a piece of silver. What the man ended up doing with the coin is not known.

Extreme amounts for cards that were sometimes released only 40 times. Exciting… However, he will just have to find out for himself.

R.I.P Hamster Juliet
Losing one of your pets is, of course, devastating. Some people have the animal cremated and others bury it in the backyard. In 1997, a hamster named Juliet unfortunately did not survive. A handmade gravestone was made for the little animal by its owner. The person who found the hamster’s headstone over 20 years later thought it was such a sweet gesture for the little animal…. Burying household animals and often making them gravestones is actually a pretty popular phenomenon. For children, it is also a good way to cope with grief.
Zodiac Sign Block
What’s your sign? Zodiac, or horoscopes, derive from the astrological signs that make up the twelve 30° sectors of the ecliptic. Signs correspond with birth date, so people with the same sign often share certain character traits. This block of concrete with the 12 zodiac signs was found in a homeowner’s yard. The person who put it there must have been a strong believer! But the question that remains is: What is it doing there?

Although you wouldn’t immediately say it at first, cars seem to be a common object that reappears in someone’s yard with some regularity. So too in the always beautiful Florida. A family who had bought the house immediately went to take a look at the grounds around the house after the key exchange. What did it turn out to be, a super old Jeep was hidden among all the trees and leaves. Because the car is all rusty, the previous homeowners probably didn’t notice it at all. In any case, for the children this is a nice piece of play equipment. It makes the yard around their house exciting and ideal for games like hide and seek.
Nowadays, more and more people are making a time capsule. So what is that? In a time capsule you put stuff that is very typical in the here and now. You can put in whatever you want. What is very important is that you then hide it somewhere or bury it, so that someone else can find it in a few years’ time. This time capsule was 25 years old, and contained 1980’s cards from the NY Yankees. The man who found the box was bummed he couldn’t sell the cards, they didn’t hold up very well in the box…. Bummer.
A Mutant Flower
Tidying up your garden is a wonderful thing to do during the hot summer days. A nice cold drink, some exciting music in the background and off you go. The same goes for this man from Central America. On a hot summer day, he was watering his plants and flowers. To his great surprise, he suddenly saw a different color. That had to have been a stray seed. However, this was not the case. It was a half-and-half flower. With two colors. A mutant, in other words. That’s not something you experience every day.
An Old 7-Up Can
In wooded areas you often come across objects that are a bit older. This can be big things, buried deep under the ground, but also small things. Very 90’s… Would the drink still taste the same? In any case, it’s a fun throwback and for your boy a nice collector’s item.
The days of casettes are long gone. Nowadays there are countless apps that help us listen to music. Still, the nostalgic feeling of such a cassette tape is nice. Until you play it over and over and you can’t stand to hear another Beatles song. That’s when you throw it off your back deck, where it waits for someone years later to retrieve it.

And not only that, but one that often grows to be the size of a Volkswagen Beetle! Heavy!

Six meteorites had fallen from the sky and landed inches from his front porch! What a way to be interrupted from the evening news.
Large Pyramid Tunnel
Underground passages, tunnels and routes, oh my! In a village adjacent to the great Pyramid of Khufu, a resident discovered just that: his very own secret entrance to the largest pyramid in Egypt. Talk about childhood dreams. It seems a little scary at first, but on the other hand, of course, it’s also a childhood dream…. Playing and romping in the tunnels under your house. At least we would have the question of who would have been living there all this time…. Who knows, you might even come across a sacrophagus.
And then you think you’ve seen it all… Or have you not? While renovating a garden in the Czech Republic, a man had to dig pretty deep to lay several pipes. What he found there surprised him enormously. Two good looking church bells. At first he did not know what to do with them, but later the man decided to call in experts. The church bells had been stolen from a church 11 years earlier. The 400 year old bells were abandoned by the burglar, waiting to be discovered years later by the lucky resident.
