For example, this very simple and smart trick that allows you to fall asleep in 60 seconds.
This technique to fall asleep quickly was developed by Dr Andrew Weil. He calls this technique the 4-7-8 method. It is very simple. Just follow the next 3 steps:
- Breathe quietly into the land for 4 seconds;
- Hold your breath for 7 seconds;
- Then exhale for 8 seconds;
- Repeat the process twice.
You will notice that your entire body relaxes and that you soon fall asleep. Your heartbeat will become calmer and you will fall asleep more easily. Since you focus on your breathing you don’t have time to worry and lie awake.
